We got up early (6:00am) this morning to get 
ready for our flight. Pam and Sue took us to the airport at 8:00am so we could check our luggage and get through security in plenty of time for our 9:31am flight out of Kansas City. We made a connection in Denver at 11:31am and got on the seven and a half hour flight to Maui. 
We arrived without incident at 3:58pm local time (almost 8:00pm Central Time) and checked into the Maui Beach Hotel. Even though the temperature was already down to the mid-70's, cloudy, and very windy; our first activity was wading in the ocean and playing on the rocks.
